ChargerLAB has learned that the chip, WT6676F, is designed for USB Type-C power source applications such as power adapters, wall chargers, car chargers, power strips, etc. Its wide operation voltage range (3.3V to 45V) supports USB PD 3.1 SPR & EPR 36V specifications.

The WT6676F minimizes external components by integrating USB PD baseband PHY, USB Type-C detection, shunt regulator, voltage and current monitors, NMOS load switch driver and an 8-bit MCU to allow small form factor and low BOM cost. A Multi-Time-Programmable (MTP) ROM is provided for program code and user configuration data.

The WT6676F featured programmable constant voltage and current control, integrated a low side current sense amplifier, and supported cable drop compensation. It also supports over voltage, under voltage, over current and over temperature protection.
