TEGIC Launched the NIO Edition 210W GaN Power Station
As environmental pollution becomes more and more serious, electric vehicles, a cleaner mode of transportation than traditional fuel-powered vehicles, are becoming the future of travel. NIO, a Chinese multinational automobile manufacturer specializing in designing and developing electric vehicles, has been expanding in the European market recently.
In 2021, TEGIC, a company that focuses on high-performance fast charging accessories, collaborated with NIO to launch a customized 90W GaN power station, which brought a high-power portable experience to NIO car owners. Recently, TEGIC and NIO have launched a 210W GaN power station with peak performance, a more hard-core design, and higher personalization.
The TEGIC 210W GaN power station NIO edition is a customized version of the original power station. The overall design follows the original design, but the paint color has been changed from gray/green to silver/black, which is more in line with NIO's branding. The top cover features the NIO logo. While the original version consisted of a power station, a power bank, and a base, the customized version consists of only a power station. The front half of the station features a transparent design, a multi-function display in the center, and a power strategy switching button in the upper left corner. The port configuration includes three USB-C and one USB-A port, and the total output power is 210W.
The multi-function display in the center of the transparent panel can show the current power distribution mode, total power upper limit, and the current output voltage, current, and power specifications of each port of USB-C1, USB-C2, and USB-C3. It's similar to having three mini POWER-Z KM003C devices combined to monitor the charging status of three devices in real-time.
When charging a single device, the maximum output power of USB-C1/C2 is 100W, and the maximum output power of USB-C3 is 30W. When charging four devices at the same time, the power station supports multiple power distribution strategies that can be switched through the button on the upper right corner of the panel, and the power of the four output ports can be manually adjusted. For example, there are 100W + 65W + 30W + 10W, 100W + 100W + 0W + 10W, 65W + 45W + 30W + 10W, etc. A variety of power distribution strategies can flexibly respond to a variety of charging scenarios. The station supports PD3.0, PPS, QC4+, QC3.0, QC2.0, AFC, FCP, SCP, PE+2.0, and other fast charging protocols, meeting the needs of mainstream electronic products.
The less useful USB-A port is placed on the back, with an output power of 10W. The power supply input port is also on the back and adopts a common two-prong design. After connecting it to the AC outlet, the power station can be extended to the desktop, which is more convenient than traditional power stations.
