Teardown of Rophie 200W Folding Solar Charger (SC020)
Introduction
For users of power supplies, charging is a problem when they are outdoors for a long time. Some power supplies are not equipped with solar charging panels and are not compatible with other brands of solar panels. This creates opportunities for third-party solar panels.
ChargerLAB this time get a 200W solar charger from Rophie. It adopts a lightweight design and is 40% lighter than similar products. It comes with an adapter with six connectors that can charge different devices. Next, let’s take this solar charger apart and take a look at its design.
Product Appearance
The front of the box is printed with Rophie's logo, product model: SC020, product appearance, and selling points.

The Rophie 200W Folding Solar Charger is designed with magnetic handles on both sides, making it easy to store and carry.
The surface and edges of the solar panels have no thread and have fine workmanship.

One end of the bracket is connected and fixed with the solar panel through screws.

Teardown
Next, let's start to take it apart.
First, unscrew the screws inside the storage bag.
The handles are also fixed with screws.
Remove the screws of the handles, and take off the cover.
There are magnets inside the cover of the handle.

Take off the handel.
The wires that connect the solar panel and the output cable are waterproofing through glue.
