Streamlined and Clutter-Free | Baseus T-Space Docking Station for Tesla Interior Organization
The sales of Tesla's Model 3 and Model Y, as the most popular models, have been steadily increasing and continuously setting new records. These two models have gained widespread market recognition due to their exceptional performance, longer range, and intelligent driving features.
However, in contrast to the impressive electric vehicle driving experience, many Tesla owners have complained about the placement of the charging ports inside the center console armrest, making it difficult to plug in devices, and the exposed cables that create a messy cockpit. Addressing these pain points of Tesla users, Baseus has developed the T-Space Docking Station, making charging more convenient while also improving the cluttered interior.
The Baseus T-Space Docking Station is made using a 1:1 scanning mold, seamlessly fitting into the corners without affecting the opening and closing of the storage box. In terms of materials, this docking station combines metal and plastic, with a deep space gray and starry black color scheme that harmonizes with the interior, and a metal cover that can be closed to prevent dust and splashes. When in use, it slides open, seamlessly integrating with the texture of the Tesla's original center console.
Opening the dust cover reveals the meticulously designed interface configuration housed within the docking station, featuring two USB-A ports, one USB-C port, and a convenient retractable cable. The inclusion of these ports ensures compatibility with a wide range of devices, offering versatile charging options. When it comes to performance, the cable supports 45W fast charging output, the USB-C port supports 30W fast charging output, and the USB-A1/A2 ports support 12W output. With this comprehensive setup, it provides users with seamless connectivity and high-speed charging capabilities, enhancing the overall convenience of their charging experience.
Furthermore, the retractable cable can be used in conjunction with a USB-C to Lightning adapter for charging iOS devices, and a storage slot is provided for the adapter to prevent loss when not in use. Moreover, in the storage position, the USB-C connector can be magnetically attached to the surface of the docking station, further improving the cluttered situation.
The retractable cable is made of TPE material, with a flat design that is durable and tangle-resistant. It has undergone 5,000 swings and 10,000 plug tests and can provide up to 45W PD fast charging. When in use, simply pull out the cable, and with a length of 1m, it easily charges devices for front and rear passengers. When not in use, gently pull the cable to unlock the limit, and it will automatically retract back into the docking station, achieving a wireless cable clutter-free control area.
It is easy to install. The first step is to tilt the docking station at a 45° angle and then rotate it 90° parallel to the vehicle. The second step is to connect the docking station's built-in 90-degree cable to the vehicle's USB-C port, ensuring that its right-angle part faces downwards. The third step is to push the docking station backward towards the direction of the cup holder. Finally, close the original cover and open the dust cover to start using it.
Summary of ChargerLAB
In conclusion, the Baseus T-Space Docking Station offers a practical solution to address the charging inconvenience and cable clutter inside Tesla Model 3 and Model Y vehicles. With its well-designed construction, including multiple ports, an retractable cable, and easy installation, it aims to enhance the charging experience and improve the overall tidiness of the interior.
