Samsung's Headphone Dongle Leaks Ahead of Note 10 Event
We’ve seen the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ in leaked renders already, and now, a render showing the 3.5mm to USB-C adapter that will reportedly accompany the Galaxy Note 10+. Yes, there really is no headphone jack on Samsung’s upcoming flagship, and any traditional wired audio gear you have lying around will have to connect to the Note 10 or Note 10+ through the dongle you see in the pictures below.
The design of the adapter is pretty straightforward, as you would expect. However judging from the structure design of the connector, the tips seem to offer better strain relief support than Apple's. And it's made in Vietnam.
Samsung will probably give away free Galaxy Buds with Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ orders. It did so for the Galaxy S10 series, which does have a headphone jack, so it wouldn’t be unreasonable to assume the Korean giant will have a similar offer for the upcoming Note flagships.
Will you be buying the Galaxy Note 10 or Note 10+ even if there’s no headphone jack, or is the dongle life something you simply cannot tolerate?
