The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) has announced that 209 car chargers have successfully achieved Qi2 certification as of December 31, 2024. This milestone marks a critical step in advancing wireless charging for vehicles, improving safety, speed, and compatibility for mobile devices on the go.
According to ChargerLAB statistics, Peak Design leads the pack with 11 Qi2-certified car chargers, underscoring its prominent position in the wireless charging industry. In second place is MGCTECH, which secured certification for 9 chargers, highlighting its strong presence in the growing market for Qi2 solutions. ESR is third, with 7 certified car chargers, highlighting its commitment to quality and innovation.
Other well-known brands, such as Scosche (6 chargers), along with Spigen and Baseus (each with 4 chargers), continue to expand the Qi2 ecosystem by offering reliable charging solutions. Brands including Kashimura, itian, iOttie, GAOYI, and A2A, among others, have each obtained certification for 3 car chargers, further contributing to the growing list of Qi2-compliant products.
The rapid rise in Qi2-certified car chargers reflects the industry's drive to bring enhanced efficiency, stability, and user experience to vehicle-based wireless charging.
