Power Density Reaches a New High: Acbel Launches a 300W Ultra-Slim Adapter
Introduction
On June 4, COMPUTEX 2024 was held in Taiwan, China. As one of the world's leading computer exhibitions, it attracts a large number of well-known companies to participate. This time ChargerLAB also came to the COMPUTEX 2024 exhibition site.
As one of the world's leading suppliers of switching power supplies, AcBel brought many new products to the exhibition. Next, we will introduce a 300W ultra-slim adapter launched by AcBel, which sets a new record in power density.
Product Appearance
ChargerLAB discovered an AIO series 300W power adapter at the AcBel booth. It is black overall and it has a rectangular appearance. The appearance of it is different from ordinary adapters.
Compared with other ordinary 300W power adapters, the AcBel 300W adapter is ultra-thin, about half the thickness. According to the introduction, its thickness is only 14 mm (0.55 inches).
The AcBel 300W ultra-slim adapter adopts the high power density AIO power supply with GaN inside. Thanks to its internal components, it reduces carbon emissions and is more environmentally friendly. The size of it is 125 x 74 x 14 mm (4.92 x 2.91 x 0.55 inches).
The AcBel 300W ultra-slim adapter has passed the 80 PLUS Platinum standard. The efficiency at a load power of 20% is 92.52%, the efficiency at a load power of 50% is 93.89%, and the efficiency at a load power of 100% is 93.94%. Its holding time is no less than 16ms under a load of 80%.
The power density of the AcBel 300W ultra-slim adapter is as high as 38W/in³, about 2.316W/cm³, setting a new record in power density.
The AcBel 300W ultra-slim adapter can support a voltage of 20V and a current of 15A, which is suitable for most computers. It has also passed RoHS, WEEE, REACH, and other certifications.
