New Navitas GaNFast GaN Power IC is Adopted by Xiaomi
Navitas Semiconductor, the leader in GaN Power ICs, announced that Xiaomi's latest RedmiBook Pro series with the original 100W GaN fast charger had adopted the next generation of GaNFast GaN power IC powered by the Navitas GaNSense technology.
The Xiaomi RedmiBook series has introduced its new 100W GaN charger developed with Navitas GaNFast technology with all new RedmiBook Pro 14 2022 and RedmiBook Pro 15 2022.
This 100W GaN charger's size is about 60 x 58 x 31.6 mm (2.36 X 2.28 X 1.24 inches), and it has a power density of 0.91W/cm3. It features a universal input voltage (90 Vac to 264 Vac) and PDOs of 5V3A, 9V3A, 15V3A and 20V5A to ensure compatibility with a wide range of other devices, including the latest Xiaomi devices.
The CrCM PFC boost and HFQR topology of this charger uses two Navitas GaN power ICs, NV6134A with GaNSense technology, whose lossless current sensing function saves cost and improves charging efficiency for the laptops. Its over-temperature protection, over-current protection and autonomous standby mode enhance the system reliability.
