Introduction
Minisforum has launched a variety of OCuLink devices, including mini PCs and external GPU docks. The mini PCs cover Intel and AMD processor platforms, with rich and diverse configurations, giving users the ultimate performance experience.
Minisforum UH125 Pro Mini PC
The Minisforum UH125 Pro Mini PC is a compact, high-performance mini-PC powered by the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H processor. It features integrated Intel Arc graphics, offering improved visual performance, making it suitable for tasks like 3D rendering, video editing, and light gaming. One of its standout features is its connectivity, which includes USB4, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.0, and dual 5GbE LAN ports, allowing support for up to four 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, the UH125 Pro comes with OCuLink for high-speed PCIe expansion, which can connect external devices like a GPU for enhanced graphics performance.
In terms of design and upgradability, the UH125 Pro presents some challenges. With dual M.2 slots for storage and DDR5 memory support up to 96 GB, this mini-PC balances professional work needs with gaming capabilities, all while maintaining compactness.
Minisforum MS-A1 Mini PC
Minisforum MS-A1 Mini PC uses AMD Ryzen7 8700G desktop processor, Zen4 architecture, 8 cores and 16 threads. It is equipped with dual-channel DDR5 5200MHz, four M.2 PCIe4.0 NVME SSD card slots, and has HDMI2.1, DP2.0, and USB4 full video output interfaces, and can connect to three 8K monitors at the same time.
The Minisforum MS-A1 Mini PC can connect to a high-performance graphics card via OCuLink to achieve a significant performance leap, meeting the needs of gamers and creative workers for high-performance graphics processing capabilities.
EliteMini UM780 XTX Mini PC
The EliteMini UM780 XTX Mini PC is equipped with an AMD R7 7840HS processor, which can achieve up to 70W of performance release. In addition, it is equipped with DDR5 5600 memory specifications and supports dual-channel memory configuration up to 96GB. It has two PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 slots and supports RAID0/1 configuration, enhancing the speed and reliability of data storage. It uses Cold Wave 2.1, and the noise level is only 43dB even under full load, ensuring continuous high-performance output.
The EliteMini UM780 XTX Mini PC is compact and easy to carry, and is printed with a tiger logo. It is equipped with dual 2.5G RJ45 network ports and supports dual-link aggregation. The expansion interfaces include one USB4 interface, four USB 3.2 Gen2 interfaces, one DP interface, one HDMI interface, and one OCuLink interface.
Minisforum DEG1 eGPU Dock
The Minisforum DEG1 eGPU Dock is designed to enhance the graphics performance of mini PCs and handheld gaming devices by connecting them to external GPUs through an OCuLink interface. This dock allows users to install almost any desktop GPU, offering flexibility in upgrading graphics without needing a full-sized desktop PC. The dock connects via PCIe Gen 4 x4, providing low latency and high bandwidth for significant performance improvements over integrated graphics. However, while it can handle most GPUs, very high-end models may experience some bandwidth limitations.
One of the key features of the DEG1 is its use of an ATX or SFX power supply to power the GPU, which adds versatility but requires users to purchase a separate power supply. Additionally, the dock lacks hot-plug functionality, meaning users must power down their system to connect or disconnect the eGPU. Despite these minor drawbacks, the DEG1 is an affordable solution at around $99, especially for those looking to upgrade the graphical capabilities of compact systems without breaking the bank.
