Introduction
At CES 2025, renowned 3C digital accessories brand UGREEN unveiled its new Nexode 500W GaN desktop charger, leaving a strong impression on both the media and attendees.

The UGREEN Nexode 500W GaN Charger is the world's first 500W GaN desktop charger and one of only two chargers currently supporting single-port PD3.1 240W output. It offers broad compatibility with a wide range of devices, including laptops, smartphones, tablets, the Nintendo Switch, and Bluetooth earphones, making it ideal for users with multi-device charging needs.
Let’s take a closer look at the capabilities of this charger. ChargerLAB will also be conducting an in-depth review and teardown of this product soon—stay tuned!
UGREEN Nexode 500W GaN Charger

The UGREEN Nexode 500W GaN Charger continues the brand’s signature design language, featuring a body made from V-0 grade flame-retardant materials to ensure safety while enhancing heat dissipation. The surface is coated with metallic paint and finished with a matte texture, giving it a refined, understated look while effectively resisting fingerprints. The silicone anti-slip pads on the bottom keep the charger stable even on smooth surfaces, offering a better everyday user experience.

It features five USB‑C and one USB‑A ports.

The USB-C1 port supports PD3.1 with 48V 5A output, delivering up to 240W to power high-performance laptops and other demanding devices. The remaining four USB-C ports each support up to 100W, while the USB-A port offers a maximum output of 20W.
It can intelligently and dynamically adjust its output based on the real-time power needs of connected devices, supporting efficient, fast charging for up to five laptops simultaneously, each with no less than 60W of power. Even under full load with all six ports in use, the total output can reach up to 500W. When four or five ports are used simultaneously, it still maintains a total output close to 500W, fully meeting the fast-charging demands of a wide range of devices.

In terms of internal circuit topology, it is equipped with six high-quality GaN chips, enabling a conversion efficiency of over 95% and significantly reducing charging losses. It integrates active bridge technology, interleaved PFC, and AHB hybrid architecture, achieving both high efficiency and low ripple output.

It also features multiple-channel NTC temperature probes and directional sensors, capable of real-time monitoring of temperature and tilt status at a frequency of 10ms per update, or 100 times per second. With the integration of 11 protection mechanisms, including overcurrent, overvoltage, overload, short circuit, and overtemperature, it ensures millisecond-level response, providing comprehensive protection for both the devices and the charger.

With such powerful hardware, the UGREEN 500W GaN charger can effortlessly handle the efficient charging needs of various devices, whether it's for home entertainment, collaborative office work, or mobile power management during travel. It easily supports high-performance laptops, smartphones, tablets, Nintendo Switch, Bluetooth earphones, and other devices.

By centralizing power supply through a single device, it not only simplifies desktop wiring but also reduces electronic waste and energy consumption caused by multiple chargers. This provides users with an efficient, convenient, and environmentally friendly charging experience.
