At CES 2025, HP introduced the Thunderbolt 4 Ultra G6 Dock, a versatile docking station designed to enhance productivity and connectivity for professionals. Available in 180W and 280W models, the device is particularly tailored for compatibility with Apple’s MacBook Pro and other Thunderboltenabled laptops. The product is set for release in April 2025, though specific pricing details have not yet been announced.
The Thunderbolt 4 Ultra G6 Dock offers a wide array of ports, making it an ideal choice for users with extensive peripheral needs. On the front, there is a USBC 3.2 Gen 2 port (10 Gbps) capable of delivering 15W power. The left side includes a USBA 3.2 Gen 2 port and an additional USBC 3.2 Gen 2 port, both supporting data transfer speeds up to 10 Gbps.
On the back, the dock features two USBA 3.2 Gen 1 ports, another USBC 3.2 Gen 2 port with display output, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, and a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port. The right side offers two more USBA 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one of which supports device charging.
The 180W and 280W models deliver appropriate power to connected devices, ensuring compatibility with highperformance laptops and peripherals. The Thunderbolt 4 Ultra G6 Dock underscores HP’s commitment to addressing the needs of remote workers, creative professionals, and power users. HP has not disclosed pricing details yet, but the product’s April 2025 launch is highly anticipated by tech enthusiasts and professionals alike.
