HP Launched 65W Dual USB-C GaN Charger
As more and more devices are being equipped with USB-C ports, having a reliable and efficient charger has become increasingly important. A dual USB-C charger is a great solution for those who need to charge multiple devices simultaneously while also maximizing the charging speed. With such a charger, you can quickly charge your latest smartphone, tablet, laptop, or even your Nintendo Switch, all with just one charger.
Recently, HP has released a dual USB-C GaN charger with 65W fast charging output. It is smaller and more portable than traditional power adapters and can charge laptops and phones simultaneously.
The design of the HP 65W dual USB-C GaN charger is low-key and subdued. The matte black shell is engraved with a bright "HP" logo and a "65W" in the middle, and there is a white LED work indicator. The charger's size is not large, and it is significantly different from traditional power adapters in terms of overall aesthetics.
The HP 65W dual USB-C GaN charger has two USB-C output ports, and both ports can output the maximum power of 65W. It is compatible with fast charging protocols such as USB PD, PPS, QC, and AFC, making it versatile for mainstream digital devices.
Both the USB-C1 and USB-C2 have the same specifications. When used individually, they have five fixed PDOs of 5V3A, 9V3A, 12V5A, 15V4.33A and 20V3.25A, as well as a PPS of 3.3-20V3.25A, and a maximum output power of 65W. When used simultaneously, the output power is adjusted to 45W + 20W or 30W + 30W to support fast charging for two devices at the same time.
The input end of the HP 65W dual USB-C GaN charger adopts a detachable design with a commonly seen three-prong plug with a ground pin, which prevents electric shock in users' hands when charging laptops. The input voltage is 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz for global compatibility without issues with voltage.
GaN technology has significantly reduced the size of the HP 65W dual USB-C GaN charger, with the dimensions of 75 x 53 x 23 mm (2.95 x 2.09 x 0.91 inches), which is 92.8cm³, and a power density of 0.7W/cm³, making it much smaller and lighter than traditional power adapters. The weight of the charger alone is only 116g (4.09 oz).
