HONOR Magic5 Series Launch Event
On February 27, 2023, HONOR unveiled the Magic5 series at MWC23 in Barcelona. The series is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform and supports 66W SuperCharge. The Magic5 Pro also features a higher energy density silicon-carbon battery and supports 50W wireless SuperCharge.
The HONOR Magic5 series comes in five classic colors: Glacier Blue, Meadow Green, Coral Purple, Orange, and a classic black shade. The rear camera adopts the "Eye of Muse" design, with the Magic5 Pro supporting IP68 protection level.
Both Magic5 and Magic5 Pro are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform, with significant improvements in CPU and GPU performance and energy efficiency for a fully immersive experience.
The Magic5 Pro features a quad-curved floating screen design, with a 6.81-inch screen that supports 120Hz high refresh rate and LTPO variable refresh rate, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a peak brightness of 1800nit. The front camera adopts a dual camera design, with a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 3D depth camera.
The Magic5 Pro's rear camera uses three 50MP sensors, with the main camera having a 1/1.12-inch sensor size F/1.6 large aperture and an equivalent focal length of 23mm, with EIS+OIS image stabilization. The periscope telephoto camera has an equivalent focal length of 90mm, 3.5x optical zoom, and supports telephoto macro mode, also with EIS+OIS stabilization. The equivalent 13mm ultra-wide camera supports a 2.5cm super macro mode.
The Magic5 Pro is equipped with a new generation of silicon-carbon batteries with higher density, enabling larger capacity in the same space, with a capacity of 5450mAh. It features a 66W wired SuperCharge and 50W wireless SuperCharge combination.
The Magic5 has a thinner body with a thickness of only 7.8mm, adopting the quad-curved floating screen design, a 6.73-inch 120Hz refresh rate screen, and also supports 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
The 12MP front camera uses a single camera design, and the rear camera's main camera is a 54MP 1/1.49-inch sensor with an F/1.9 aperture, coupled with a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP telephoto camera that supports OIS.
In terms of charging, the Magic5 has a battery capacity of 5100mAh and is equipped with 66W wired SuperChrage, but does not support wireless charging.
As for the price, the Magic5 starts at 899 euros (8GB+256GB).
The Magic5 Pro starts at 1199 euros (12GB+512GB).
