Compatibility Test of Xiaomi 15 Pro
Introduction
Not long ago, we released a video on the charging compatibility of the Xiaomi 15 Pro. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, it did not include specific current and voltage data. Today, let's take a closer look in text and images!
Charging Compatibility Test
Next, ChargerLAB will conduct a comprehensive test on the compatibility of the Xiaomi 15 Pro, evaluating its performance with a selection of a dozen charging devices. These devices include Xiaomi chargers and third-party chargers, aiming to cover the majority of users' charging scenarios.
Original Chargers
Using Xiaomi's bundled 90W charging kit, we measured the input power of the phone with the ChargerLAB POWER-Z KM003C. The result: 18.81V 3.79A, delivering 71.29W of power.
Summarizing the data of the Xiaomi chargers above, it can be seen that original chargers rated at 90W or above can provide over 70W of power, with a maximum of 77W. Chargers in the 67W category delivered about 56W of charging power, while 45W chargers provided about 28W.
Plotting the power data into a bar graph clearly shows the charging power of each charger. Excluding normal power loss, almost all chargers achieved their respective maximum power limits, with the phone's highest charging power reaching about 77.37W.
Third-party Chargers
It's common to rely on third-party chargers when the original one isn’t available. So let's see how compatible the Xiaomi 15 Pro is with these alternatives.
First, the MOVESPEED 200W charger provided 8.64V 3.14A, delivering 27.16W of power.
The much lower-rated OnePlus 33W charger produced a similar result, delivering 8.65V 3.17A, or 27.4W.
Summarizing the test data of third-party chargers paired with the original cable, we can see that most third-party chargers in this test delivered stable charging power to the Xiaomi 15 Pro, mainly triggering 8V or 9V voltage ranges, with only a small number using 5V.
Plotting the charging power data into a bar graph, the vast majority of chargers delivered over 23W of power, with a maximum of 27.4W. The remaining third-party chargers delivered power in the 14W and 16W ranges, with only one charger falling below 10W.
Summary of ChargerLAB
In terms of compatibility with original chargers, those rated at 90W or above can consistently deliver over 70W of power to the Xiaomi 15 Pro, while other models performed as expected. For third-party chargers supporting PD and QC fast charging, most delivered power levels of 13W or 26W, with a maximum of 27.4W.
