Compatibility Test of Mechrevo 14 Pro (Chargers)
Introduction
ChargerLAB recently got a Mechrevo 14 Pro notebook, which is equipped with a 100W USB-C power adapter. It has a clean appearance, quiet and stable performance enough for daily office use; let’s take a look at its charging compatibility, with original and third-party chargers.
Charging Compatibility Test
Next, ChargerLAB will conduct the test, evaluating its compatibility with a selection of more than dozens of chargers, aiming to cover the majority of users' charging scenarios.
Original Chargers
Let's begin by examining the performance of the original 100W charger. It delivers a power output of 19.72V 3.16A 62.39W, effectively powering the Mechrevo 14 Pro.
Third-party Chargers
Moving on to third-party chargers, we'll start with the well-known Apple 140W charger. As the test results indicate, the charger outputs 20.44V 3.15A 64.43W during charging.
Next, we have the AOHi 140W charger, delivering a charging power of 19.83V 3.29A 65.57W. The performance of these 100W-ish chargers is quite consistent.
Based on the charging power performance of these third-party chargers, we can conclude that the Mechrevo 14 Pro supports PD fast charging. Moreover, the performance of third-party high-power chargers is on par with the original charger, with both triggering the 20V high-voltage value.
To visualize the power output data, we've created a bar chart. As evident from the chart, the vast majority of chargers exhibit excellent compatibility with this laptop, with the exception of the Apple 29W charger, which failed to charge the device.
Summary of ChargerLAB
In terms of charging performance, the Mechrevo 14 Pro offers the most convenient charging experience with its included 100W USB-C power adapter. Under normal idle conditions, third-party chargers can deliver up to around 65W of power when charging through the Type-C port. Therefore, users can make informed choices based on the test results presented above, opting for chargers within the 60W to 70W power range.
