Collab with ChargerLAB丨Antutu Launches Two Phone Charging Rankings
To reflect the performance of smartphones in actual charging in a more objective, fair and directly comparable way, led by Antutu, with the support of Chargerlab and 3elife.net, we jointly launched a fast charging test program that can be repeatedly verified for the mainstream smartphone products currently on the market.
The test subjects are the retail version of the model and the original charger and cable included in the package. The POWER-Z KM002C tester can test up to 200W after upgrading the latest firmware, is compatible with all current mainstream fast charging solutions, and is easy to monitor and record data. The test is at a constant temperature of 25℃ (77℉). The charging time for all devices is based on the battery from 5% to 100% (full) on the screen.
We tested all the devices on the market that claim to have a fast charging power of over 100W and summarized the test results in the following two lists.
There is the Antutu smartphone charging speed ranking according to the charging time. This list reflects the time it takes to charge a phone from 5% to 100%. In other words, the higher the position on the list, the shorter the charging time.
As we can see, the top ten models on the current list are equipped with 120W or higher-level fast charging solutions. Among the top models, iQOO 10 Pro is the first 200W ultra-fast charging, so there will be a considerable distance between competitors.
There will also be significant differences in battery capacity. For example, some gaming phones can be equipped with larger capacity batteries because of their larger size. At this point, even if the actual charging power is higher, the final time required to fill up, than some relatively thin and light, smaller battery capacity of conventional models to long is also normal.
So after testing and calculating, we also got a second list. It is the Antutu ranking of smartphone charging per minute. Compared with the charging speed ranking, this ranking removes the distracting factor of the battery capacity of different devices and focuses more on the differences in fast charging technology and charging strategies of different devices.
As you can see, the "king" of this list is still the iQOO 10 Pro, which currently has exclusive access to 200W ultra-fast charging. iQOO 10 Pro is a groundbreaking new technology that leaves other models behind, regardless of charging time or actual charging speed.
It should be added that the two charging lists we have published so far are only the "first version" under the current testing conditions. In the future, we will test more models. Our goal is to be able to give consumers a reference standard for phone charging that can be easily read and compared, and the results trusted and reproducible.
Summary of ChargerLAB
We believe that only by relying on such a fair and detailed charging test list that can be understood and trusted by most consumers can we better break the information asymmetry in the industry and better promote the development of smartphone fast charging technology in the direction of indeed faster and stronger. And this is exactly why we want to do these tests and publish this list most simply.
