Full Charging Test
We use the Samsung 65W charger to fully charge the Samsung S24 Ultra. And put them into a 25°C (77℉) thermotank throughout the test.
At first, the voltage is 9.5V. And then, the voltage drops to about 9V until fully charged. The charging curve can be divided into five parts. In the first part, the power was around 46W for the first 1 min and 19 seconds. Then, the power gradually drops to 35W, 31W, and 22W in turn. The final part begins at 37 mins, and the power slowly drops to almost zero. It takes 1 hour and 18 mins to be fully charged.
From this chart, they can charge the Samsung S24 Ultra to 50% in 20 mins and 80% in 37 mins. It also reaches 100% in 1 hour and 18 mins. Its full charging time is not much different from the 1 hour and 14 minutes of the S23 Ultra.
Temperature Test
We also recorded the highest temperature on the front and back after charging for 10 mins, 20 mins, and 30 mins.
10 Mins Charging
After 10 mins, the maximum temperature on the front is 32.5°C (90.5 ℉).
The back is 35.3°C (95.54 ℉).
20 Mins Charging
After 20 mins, the maximum temperature on the front slightly increases to 36°C (96.8 ℉).
And the back is 38.7°C (101.66 ℉).
30 Mins Charging
After 30 mins, the maximum temperature on the front drops to 33.8°C (97.52 ℉).
The back is 35.5℃ (95.9 ℉).
The temperature on the back is always higher than on the front. The maximum temperature is 38.7℃ at 20 minutes, and the power at this time is about 31W. After that, the temperature decreases as the power decreases. You won't feel hot to touch it after 30 minutes of charging.
