Designed to enhance graphics performance for laptops and other portable devices, the XG Mobile is set to launch in Q1 2025. The device marks a significant advancement in portable gaming and professional workloads, offering users a compact yet powerful graphics solution.
The XG Mobile is powered by Nvidia's latest GeForce RTX 5090 mobile GPU, providing cutting-edge performance for demanding applications. It connects via the new Thunderbolt 5 interface, offering up to 64Gbps of bandwidth, which is a significant improvement over Thunderbolt 4. The device also doubles as a docking station, featuring additional ports like USB, SD card slots, and a 5Gbps Ethernet connection, as well as support for dual-monitor setups. It comes with a 140-watt power supply to support high-performance workloads.
One of the key highlights of the XG Mobile is its portability. Asus claims the device is 25% lighter and 18% smaller than previous models, making it easier to carry and use on the go. It is specifically designed for laptops and handheld devices equipped with Thunderbolt 5, ensuring seamless compatibility and maximum performance.
The pricing reflects its premium specifications. The high-end model featuring the RTX 5090 GPU is priced at $2,199.99, while a more affordable version with the RTX 5070 Ti will be available for $1,199.99. Asus aims to cater to gamers, content creators, and professionals who need enhanced graphics capabilities without being tied to a traditional desktop setup.
