The ACASIS Thunderbolt 3 hard drive case hub is made of integral aluminum CNC. The metal allows the high-speed hard drive to quickly dissipate heat and maintain its performance. The measurements are 158mm ´ 83mm ´ 26mm, which is small and portable. There is a 50cm Thunderbolt 3 data cable in the box, convenient for users to use.

The ACASIS Thunderbolt 3 hard disk case hub has two Thunderbolt 3 high-speed ports with 40Gb/s ultra-high rate bandwidth. It also has a DP video transmission port, supporting 8K@60Hz ultra-high-definition video transmission, and an independent DC power supply port, supporting 65W power input.

The Thunderbolt 3 port has a bandwidth of up to 40Gbps, which significantly reduces the waiting time when transfer files. After testing, the Samsung 970EVO solid-state drive’s read speed is 2861MB/s, and the write speed is 2052MB/s. The one GB data can be transferred in one second.

The product’s Thunderbolt 3 port supports 5K@60Hz video output, and the DP port supports 8K@60Hz video output, which is convenient for the small-screen laptop to connect TVs, monitors, and projectors. It can bring the Ultra HD experience, like you’re in the theater.

The ACASIS Thunderbolt 3 hard drive case hub has an independent DC power supply port and uses a 65W power adapter for power supply. The laptop computer can also enjoy PD fast charging when using the Thunderbolt port to connect other devices, supporting the maximum 60W.

Open the bottom cover of the ACASIS Thunderbolt 3 hard drive case hub. You can see that there are two M.2 ports and use M Key design, which can use two NVMe solid-state drives simultaneously. If you use RAID 0, you can get a rapid increase in read and write speeds, but if you use RAID 1, the data will be mirror backed up, making the data safer.

Summary of ChargerLAB

The ACASIS Thunderbolt 3 hard disk case hub integrates the functions of an external M.2 hard disk case and a Thunderbolt hub, supports up to 8K ultra-high-definition video transmission. It also has an independent power supply port, supports 60W PD fast charging and RAID arrays. At present, the product has been released in the online store. You can choose two M.2 bays and four M.2 bays. The price of two bays is ¥1999($307), and the price of four bays is ¥2599($400). If you’re interested, you can have a try.
