Compatibility Test
Next, let's do the charging compatibility test.
Original Charger
Xiaomi 15 Pro supports QC3+ / QC3.0 / QC2.0 / PD3.0 / PD2.0 fast charging protocol / MI FC 2.0 fast charging. We use some Xiaomi chargers to test the real-time power.
Charge with the original 90W charger, the power is about 19.07V 3.91A 74.55W.
Except for the 45W charger, the voltage of other chargers can reach about 19V.
We have compiled the test results into a bar chart. There are no compatibility issues. The maximum power can reach 77.37W
Third-party Chargers
We also used a variety of third-party chargers during the test. Let’s take a look at the results.
There is no compatibility issue. Most chargers can reach a current of 3A. Xiaomi 15 Pro supports fast charging protocols such as QC and PD, and the charging power can reach about 27W.
We have compiled the test results into a bar chart. Most chargers can reach a power of about 13W and 26W. The maximum power can reach 27.4W.
Full Charging Test
We use the original 90W charger to fully charge the Xiaomi 15 Pro. And put them into a 25°C (77℉) thermotank throughout the test.
At first, the voltage is around 19V. The charging curve can be divided into four parts. In the first part, the power was around 74W for the first 2 minutes. Then, the power gradually drops to 56W and 33W in turn. After that, the power slowly drops to almost zero. At about 52 minutes, the voltage drops to 9V. It takes 53 minutes to be fully charged.
From this chart, it can charge the Xiaomi 15 Pro to 50% in 18 minutes and 80% in 32 minutes. It reaches 100% in 53 minutes.
Temperature Test
We also recorded the highest temperature on the front and back after charging for 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 30 minutes.
10 minutes Charging
After 10 minutes, the maximum temperature on the front is 40.1℃ (104.18 ℉).
The back is 40.6℃ (105.08 ℉).
20 minutes Charging
After 20 minutes, the maximum temperature on the front is 42.3℃ (108.14 ℉).
The back is 41.8℃ (107.24 ℉).
30 minutes Charging
After 30 minutes, the maximum temperature on the front is 38.7℃ (101.66 ℉).
The back is 40.3℃ (104.54 ℉).
We also turn it into another curve. The temperature on the front during charging is between 38.7-42.3℃. The temperature on the back is between 40.3-41.8℃. The temperature reaches its highest after 20 minutes of charging when the charging power is about 37W. The phone feels warm to the touch at this time.
