The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) has released its latest list of Qi2-certified smartphones, marking significant progress in the adoption of this next-generation wireless charging standard. As of November 30, 2024, a total of 22 smartphones have received Qi2 certification, reflecting the industry’s commitment to delivering stable and efficient wireless power to a wide range of devices.
According to the data compiled by ChargerLAB, the leading brand is Apple, with an impressive 20 certified devices, while HMD follows with 2 certifications. This demonstrates Apple’s dominant role in driving Qi2 adoption, with HMD emerging as one of the early adopters outside Apple.
Apple has solidified its position in Qi2 certification by securing compliance for 20 iPhone models across multiple series. Apple’s leadership highlights its commitment to enhancing the wireless charging experience for consumers through Qi2-compliant devices. HMD follows with two Qi2-certified smartphones.
