Compatibility Test
Next, let's do the charging compatibility test.
Original Charger
We use some original chargers to test the real-time power.
Charge with the OPPO 100W charger (model: VCBAOBCH), the power is about 8.67V 9.13A 79.15W, using the UFCS protocol.
There are no compatibility issues. The actual charging power of the OnePlus 13 can reach up to about 80.37W.
We have compiled the test results into a bar chart. Most chargers can reach a current above 7A and power above 62W. The included charger can get a charging power of 80.37W.
Third-party Chargers
We also used a variety of third-party chargers during the test. Let’s take a look at the results.
There is no compatibility issue. Most chargers can reach a voltage of 9V.
We have compiled the test results into a bar chart. Most chargers can reach a power of about 17W, 24W, and 25W. It is worth mentioning that the Huawei 100W charger and the OnePlus 13 both support UFCS protocol, so the charging power can reach 31.83W.
Full Charging Test
We use the original 100W charger to fully charge the OnePlus 13. And put them into a 25°C (77℉) thermotank throughout the test.
At first, the voltage is about 9V. The charging curve can be divided into five parts. In the first part, the power was around 71W for the first 1 minute. Then, the power gradually drops to 69W, 60W, 52W, and 45W in turn. After that, the power slowly drops to almost zero. At about 36 minutes, the phone displays that the battery is fully charged, but charging is still ongoing. At the same time, the voltage drops to 5V. It takes 40 minutes to be fully charged.
From this chart, they can charge the OnePlus 13 can reach 50% in 13 mins and 80% in 23 mins. It reaches 100% in 40 minutes, which is consistent with the claim of 36 minutes of full charge.
Temperature Test
We also recorded the highest temperature on the front and back after charging for 10 mins, 15 mins, and 20 mins.
10 Mins Charging
After 10 mins, the maximum temperature on the front is 36.4℃ (97.52 ℉).
The back is 37.3℃ (99.14 ℉).
15 Mins Charging
After 15 mins, the maximum temperature on the front is 36.4℃ (97.52 ℉).
And the back is 37.7℃ (99.86 ℉).
20 Mins Charging
After 20 mins, the maximum temperature on the front is 37.3℃ (99.14 ℉).
And the back is 38.2℃ (100.76 ℉).
We also turn it into another curve. The temperature during charging is between 36.4℃ and 38.2℃. Although its charging power is high, it does not have a high temperature, and the temperature control is quite good.
Summary of ChargerLAB
It has a large-capacity 6000mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. With the original 100W charger, the actual charging power can reach about 80W. Other chargers of the same brand can charge at a maximum power of more than 62W. It only takes 13 minutes to charge to 50% and only 40 minutes to be fully charged. The maximum temperature during charging can also be stabilized at around 38.2℃, and the charging performance is fast and stable.
For third-party chargers, the output power is maintained in the range of 17-25W. For chargers that support the UFCS protocol, the charging power can reach about 32W, but it is still recommended to use the original charger. In general, OnePlus 13 is a flagship phone in terms of design, performance, screen, imaging, battery life, AI, etc.
