2018 is the year of getting rid of charging cables. At this year’s MWC, many of the latest phones introduced support wireless charging. Some manufacturers have adopted wireless charging technology for a while and some are brand new to the concept. This just indicates that wireless charging solution is no longer dominated by big brand companies anymore.

As one of the largest smartphone accessories manufacturers, Anker just announced the launch of an innovative product line at the MWC 2018.  The two new products are their PowerWave 7.5 Pad and PowerWave 7.5 Stand.

Both products are compatible with the Qi wireless charging standards, but they hold more than 7.5W of power. When charging the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, they were able to support 10W of power.

Charging the phone horizontally allows you to position the phone in landscape mode for a more comfortable viewing angle.

When using the ChargeLAB Power-Z KM001 USB PD Tester to connect to the charger, it shows the total output power is even higher than 10W. In addition, this wireless charger also supports the latest Sony Xperia XZ2, Nokia 8 Sirocco among other new phones shown at the MWC 2018.
